Protestors attack Saudi embassy in Tehran

After the execution of Saudi Arabia’s shia cleric Nimr-al-Nimr, there has been huge anger among the shia muslims. Protesters smashed the furniture in embassy, but no saudi diplomat was present there.

160103163422-01-tehran-protest-0103-gettyimages-503258148-exlarge-169Around 39 protesters were arrested by police on Sunday, as they prompted the diplomats in Riyadh to leave the embassies and come back to Iran.

“The execution of a personality such as Sheikh Nimr who had no means other than speech to pursue his political and religious objectives only shows the depth of imprudence and irresponsibility,” Press TV cited Foreign Ministry spokesman Hossein Jaberi as saying.

The situation has worsened because earlier Iran and Saudi Arabia has conflicts due to fuel.
