Watch moment raccoon tries to wash his candy floss meal with confusing result

It may have been attempting to practice good hygiene but this raccoon was left a little bemused when his dinner disappeared before his eyes.

The animal is seen taking the piece of cotton candy between his paws and mouth and moving it into some water.

But within seconds the sweet treat dissolves into nothing and the raccoon is seen desperately scrambling around to see where it has gone.
